Listen....not just hear...

Assalammualaikum wbt korang ....

Ari ni dh 19 Syawal 1433H.... amacam sambutan raya korang??? gempak tak??? masih berbaki 10 hari lagi yer utk menganjurkan dan memenuhi undangan rumah terbuka yer...

Tajuk entry mcm tajuk slot masa kursus yang kita attended utk penuhkan jam kredit ISO kan?kan? hahaha...
Rasanya semua orang tahu beza di antara listening and hearing, walaupun kalau kita google translate kan both akan memberi maksud yang sama, mendengar, tp ada beza yer mendengar dgn ikhlas,cuba utk memahami apa yg didengari tanpa sebarang prejudis dan mendengar tanpa apa2 perasaan (sebab telinga tu tak pekak kan?so,dengar jela, tp fikiran melayang tah ke mana, tak fokus dgn apa yg didengar).

Listening skill is an essential in a communication/relationship.  (Yeah, suma orang tau pun kan???).  To have a partner who are a good listener, is everybody wish, isn't? Yela, imagine that, you are under stress, you need someone to listen all your  'luahan rasa', then your partner (it is not necessarily your husband/wife/lover, could be your bestfren,sister,brother,etc) said, 'ok dear, im listening, just blow it out' while playing online games, how would you feel??? atau...korang tengah bercakap sesuatu yg sedih sambil mengalirkan air mata (menangis la tu), si pendengar tu leh siap main sms sambil tersengih2....apa korang rasa???

To be a good listener, we have to:

1- focus on what we hearing
2- rational-never get emotional
3-never comparing (meaning that, if you are listening to someone who are telling you about his/hers problem, don't comparing yourself with them or comparing themself with someone else)
4-do not interrupt, let him/her finish the story first
5- never condemn/critics
6-sometimes, people just need you to listen, they just want to voice out what they feel, so, don't give an advice/opinion unless they asked for it.
7- try to understand their feeling (after they finished telling you) if they sad, try to comfort them, tell them that you understand their feeling, if their happy, share that feeling with them. (ni utk special kes la ok..)

Rasanya tu jer dulu kot, lets start with the basic first.... tak rugi pun kalau kita cuba jadi pendengar yang baik kan??? so, what are we waiting for? lets try to be a good listener .....
